Charlotte Bobcats majority owner Bob Johnson is looking to sell the Charlotte Bobcats. And minority owner and Hall of Fame player Michael Jordan is looking to buy.
Johnson is looking to sell for $300 million. Forbes Magazine recently valued the Bobcats at $284 million. Jordan would be a good pick in my opinion, considering he hired Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown, who led the team to a franchise record 35 wins.
The team has compiled a 144-266 record since the team’s creation in 2004. And they have inched ever closer to the Playoffs Thursday after drafting guard Gerald Henderson in the NBA Draft.
Their is no word yet whether Jordan has come up with the investors or money to buy. We’re not even sure whether Johnson and Jordan can agree on a price.
Jordan says he is very interested in acquiring the Bobcats.
