Memphis played tough early on but Kansas really took command. It was 58-57 Kansas when Rose missed a pair of free throws. Memphis did not show that they could keep pace with the Jayhawks. Until the end. At the end of regulation Memphis took the lead by 3. The championship trophy was sure to be the Tigers trophy. But then there’s Mario Chalmers who hit a three to tie the game. Then Kansas took control and won.
