The Dallas Mavericks have signed forward Tim Thomas, adding on to such additions as Drew Gooden, Shawn Marion, and Greg Buckner.

   The 6-10 Tim Thomas has played for 6 teams in his 12 years in the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, and three teams he played for just this year, (Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls.)

   He averaged 8.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in his 64 games, 36 with the Knicks, 18 with the Bulls and 10 with the Clippers. He played 19 1/2 minutes a game.

   Thomas has hit 946 three’s in his career, hitting 37% in 806 games, an hit 41% of three’s this past season.

   Terms were not disclosed as of  Tuesday.
