Ricky Rubio’s future

The New York Knicks are interested in Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio.

The NBA was taken by surprise when the Minnesota Timberwoves selected Rubio with the 5th pick, and another point guard, Jonny Flynn out of Syracuse, with the 6th pick in annual NBA Draft.

It shocked the NBA even more when Timberwolves general manager David Kahn came on during the draft, and was asked if their was a trade coming.

“No, I think we could play them together,” Kahn said, “Flynn is a scoring point guard, and Rubio is a passer.”

But now Rubio’s father is now telling the NBA that his son might stay in Spain, and play for DKV Joventut, for 1 or 2 more years. But if he is traded to New York, he’ll most likely stay in the NBA.
